INTERIOR > An Alpine Hideaway in St.Moritz
The owner of this lakeside chalet was lucky enough to acquire a fine plot in the highly sought after region of Silvaplana. Starting from the ground up I had 300 Square metres to play with spread over three floors. The chalet was to include six bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and a a large open plan living/dining space for my clients to entertain their guests.
Overlooking the lake, which provided much of the inspiration for the project, green woodlands, snow capped mountains and the colours throughout the changing seasons I worked with a talented team of local craftsman to source and acquire some of the best materials possible.
The dividing partition between the kitchen and dining area provided ample storage for the china, cutlery and crockery. I had this Deerskin, Bronze and Wenge unit handmade in Germany.
The coffee table was sourced from Carpenters Workshop in London, I used my own design Crocodile side tables with a pair of oversized lamps. The circular side table is by Ashley Hicks.
The basement houses ski room and spa, including a sauna and cold tub for aching bodies at the end of a hard day on the slopes.
