Nicky Travels // Paris Design Week

We’re just back from another busy trip to Paris. The bi-annual Design Week fills our weekend schedule with plenty to see and explore.  As we mentioned in last weeks post, there were some new locations visit, but we always choose to begin our visit at Maison et Objet.

To a seasoned professional like Nicky, there is an art to seeing all that you need to see at Maison. There is always plenty to be distracted by, but it’s important to note which brands you want to visit and keep a pocket plan to hand. Below Nicky captured some pieces that caught her eye…

The weekend begins and it’s a glorious day. On leaving the hotel Nicky headed towards Le Marais, crossing the Seine over Île Saint Louis and over to Saint Paul and on to rue Turenne to various galleries and pop-ups that are on for the week.

Above Place du Marché-Sainte-Catherine, where the locals surrounding the 3eme and 4eme gather daily for a morning café, lunch and dinner, it’s a beautiful hidden spot behind rue Turenne.

Triode Design below presented an exciting new collaboration between American lighting brand Allied Maker and interior designer Dorothee Meilichzon.

No visit to Paris is complete without a trip to Ralph’s in Saint Germain

…and a fly by visit past the Louvre! Until next time…
