September Book of the Month // Elemental Living by Phaidon

As Autumn officially arrives, we are finding ourselves in the Alps every week overseeing our chalet projects that are due for completion by the end of the year. Visiting our building sites during the summer months really allows you to appreciate the natural landscape and the rough terrain us designers and architects have to consider when creating dream homes for our clients.

This book, Elemental Living published by Phaidon, demonstrates a deep concern with the creation of unique living spaces that connect their inhabitants with the forests, lakes and surrounding mountains.

This book is a celebration of buildings that are at one with nature, and a key design philosophy we strive to achieve with each of our design projects.

“Elemental Living surprises and delights with its spectacular photography of contemporary architecture in dialogue with its dramatic natural surroundings. The book includes work by leading lights of 20th-century architecture such as Mies van der Rohe, Oscar Niemeyer and Frank Lloyd Wright alongside pioneering contemporary practitioners including Rick Joy, Kengo Kuma, and Mathias Klotz.” — New Design Magazine
