Design Centre Chelsea Harbour Design Week 2020

Dedicated to inspire, inform and deliver the best in design, Design Centre Chelsea Harbour has become the go to place for us to discover the samples, finishes, furniture and lighting we need for each and every project we are involved in.

DCCH has long been a catalyst of creative connections, but now an exciting new chapter is unfolding. With strategic expansion on the horizon and over 120 international showrooms, some highly influential names moving in and a landmark building project on the way, the sense of community is set to get stronger. The annual Design Week at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour is the first port of call for professional interior designers, architects and specifiers.

What began over twenty years ago as a spectacular building near the River Thames, has grown into much more. Today, visitors to the Design Centre are encouraged to shop and spend time in the domes. As well as visiting the showrooms, they can browse through specialist titles in the bookshop or stop for a break in the dome cafe or restaurant.

The spotlight is now on Design East next to the main domes which now boasts over 40 showrooms, and work has already started on the Design Avenue which really came to life during the recent Design Week. Soon the space will be a permanent atrium linking it with the current domes.

Critical mass is hugely powerful and, by extending the design offering, a world of new possibilities is opening up with even more opportunities for visitors to connect with brands and showrooms, and by attending events and engaging with experts in their fields during Design Week it becomes clear why DCCH is such a valued resource to us designers here in London.

In light of the recent lockdown in London (March 2020)) and in response to the latest UK Government guidelines regarding Covid-19, DCCH recently made this statement.

“It is clear that the individual showrooms within the Design Centre have had to close their doors to visitors from Tuesday 24 March. The safety and wellbeing of our community of colleagues, showrooms, partners and visitors is our main priority. However, we will be carrying forward our spirit of togetherness online, sharing stories and ideas, and championing the breadth and scope of the Design Centre’s offering. In partnership with our 120 showrooms, we will keep you inspired and connected in the weeks ahead”.  #ConnectConverseCreateAtDCCH  #stayhome
